On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the New Year of the Dragon 2024, on the afternoon of January 25, the Standing Committee of the Ha Tinh City Party Committee held a meeting with former provincial leaders currently residing in the area; former city leaders who have retired or transferred to other jobs. Overview of the meeting.
At the meeting, delegates watched a report reviewing the outstanding results of Party building, political system building, socio-economic development, and security and defense of Ha Tinh city in 2023.
Accordingly, in 2023, the city will have 24/25 socio-economic development targets achieved and exceeded the plan. The growth rate of production value is estimated at 11.87%. Total budget revenue in 2023 is estimated at 1,213 billion VND, equal to 148% of the plan assigned by the province and 117% of the plan assigned by the city.

Strategic tasks for city development such as: expanding administrative boundaries; adjusting the city's master plan; implementing strategic transport projects; upgrading urban infrastructure, implementing tree planting projects... are focused on and accelerated.
Party building work has been strengthened, the political system has been consolidated, and its operations have been effective and efficient. The cultural and social fields have achieved many outstanding results. Social security work has always been focused on and implemented, and people's lives have continued to be improved and enhanced. National defense and security work has continued to be ensured; political stability and social order and safety have been maintained in the area.
In 2024, Ha Tinh City chose the working theme: "Strengthening innovation, creativity, and breakthroughs to complete the targets of the Resolution of the 21st City Party Congress; expanding the boundaries associated with the arrangement of commune-level administrative units; focusing on mobilizing resources, speeding up site clearance for key projects; developing the economy towards green growth and adapting to climate change".

Speaking at the meeting, former provincial and city leaders expressed their joy and excitement at the achievements in socio-economic development of the locality in the past year. At the same time, they affirmed that the achieved results showed the drastic direction and management of the city's leaders, the participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people. The delegates hoped that the city would continue to promote the advantages and successes of 2023 to achieve greater victories, contributing to the overall development of the province.
The delegates also gave some "suggestions" for the city's development such as: continuing to pay attention to urban beautification, developing cultural infrastructure to improve people's spiritual life, mobilizing resources, attracting investment projects to the city for development...
