In 2024, the total domestic revenue target for Ha Long City, as assigned by the provincial budget, was 9,025 billion VND, of which 4,338 billion VND came from taxes, fees, and other sources, with the remainder from land revenue. Despite the difficulties in collecting taxes, fees, and other revenue in 2024 due to the government's tax exemption and reduction policies, with the leadership, guidance, and strong determination of the entire political system, the city's revenue from fees, fees, and other sources has reached 4,425 billion VND (equivalent to 102% of the provincial budget target and 100% of the city's plan, and 161% compared to the same period in 2023).
Specifically, several revenue items exceeded targets as follows: Revenue from central state-owned enterprises reached VND 15.5 billion (155% of the plan, 167% compared to the same period in 2023); revenue from local state-owned enterprises reached VND 19.4 billion (105% of the plan, 128% compared to the same period in 2023); personal income tax revenue reached VND 352 billion (117% of the plan, 154% compared to the same period in 2023); registration fee revenue reached VND 372 billion (117% of the plan, 127% compared to the same period in 2023) ; and fees and charges revenue reached over VND 874 billion (117% of the plan, 126% compared to the same period in 2023). In the final days of 2024, the city will continue to closely monitor tasks related to combating revenue losses, reviewing revenue sources, focusing on urging the collection of extended and due payments according to government resolutions ; strengthening the urging, guidance, inspection, and supervision of businesses to declare taxes promptly and correctly; and resolutely handling the recovery of land use fee debts from households and individuals . In particular, the city will also direct relevant agencies to review projects with outstanding land use fee debts and transfer files to the City Police for handling cases showing signs of legal violations…
