On the afternoon of October 26, many roads in Can Tho City were heavily flooded due to heavy rain. According to some residents, these roads are prone to flooding when it rains, mainly due to weak drainage systems.

Can Tho City Hydrometeorological Station also issued a warning bulletin: Water levels on rivers and canals in Can Tho City are starting to rise following the high tide of the 15th day of the 9th lunar month and will continue to rise rapidly in the coming days.
The highest daily water level at Can Tho station on Hau River as of October 28 exceeded alarm level 3 by 0.04m. The peak of the high tide is likely to occur between October 29 and 31 (15 and 17 of the 9th lunar month) and will be at 2.10-2.15m, 0.10-0.15m higher than alarm level 3.
People need to be on guard during times of high tide combined with heavy rain which will cause flooding in low-lying areas and inner-city riverside areas of Can Tho City.
