The city mobilizes many resources and has policies and mechanisms for this work. At the same time, it pays attention to planning land funds for building cultural and sports institutions, integrating the content of cultural institution planning into local socio-economic development planning.
Currently, the city's cultural and sports facilities have been gradually improved, meeting the needs of local people for cultural enjoyment, entertainment, recreation and sports. The city's Cultural and Sports Center and the Workers' Cultural House have been renovated at a cost of over VND34 billion, and are places to organize cultural, artistic and sports activities that suit the needs of the people, attracting a large number of people to participate in activities. The coastal park area of the Cua Ong Temple relic, the Central Park, and the 12/11 Square have been renovated and expanded, creating a space for culture, entertainment, and sports training for local people...
The cultural institution system plays an important role as a practical address for cultural and spiritual activities. This is the place to organize cultural, artistic, and sports activities; education, dissemination of laws..., thereby contributing to connecting the community in a cultural space. Every year, the city reviews, develops plans, and allocates investment capital to complete grassroots cultural and sports institutions, ensuring that 100% of villages and areas have cultural houses. Cultural houses and neighborhood sports areas are built spaciously, with relatively good facilities and equipment.
Up to now, 100% of villages and neighborhoods have established cultural and sports clubs, teams and groups. The city currently has 221 types of clubs with over 6,600 core members. The cultural and sports movement has created a joyful and united atmosphere, encouraging the spirit of physical exercise to improve health, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people.
Mr. Nguyen Tho Dao (Tan Lap 4 area, Cam Thuy ward) shared: After the construction of the cultural house, people's awareness has been raised, from maintaining hygiene to complying with the rules and regulations of the neighborhood. In particular, from the source of social mobilization, the neighborhood installed outdoor sports equipment, attracting many people to participate, creating a healthy cultural and sports environment, making spiritual life increasingly improved.
In addition to the budget resources, socialization work has been well implemented. From there, huge resources have been mobilized from the people to build and perfect the system of grassroots cultural and sports institutions. Typical examples are the stadiums and sports fields of enterprises: Cua Ong Stadium; Quang Hanh Football Training Center; football fields of TTP Industrial Development Investment Group Joint Stock Company, Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company; many mini artificial turf fields, volleyball courts, tennis courts... serving the needs of the people in the area. At the same time, it is a place to nurture and develop high-achieving athletes representing the city.
Through the construction and completion of the system of cultural and informational institutions, the movement of the entire people uniting to build a cultural life has been increasingly effective. From there, the combined strength of all classes of people has been promoted, mobilizing all resources for cultural development in particular and socio-economic development in general.
