Tottenham had a huge advantage to win all 3 points when they had one more player from the 58th minute after Abdoulaye Doucoure received a direct red card for a rough hand push into Harry Kane's face.
10 minutes later, Kane was the one who scored directly from the penalty spot, opening the score 1-0 for Tottenham and bringing hope of a favorable start for Cristian Stellini.
However, that was not to be as Michael Keane scored a stunning equaliser to make it 1-1 in the 90th minute, just two minutes after Tottenham's Lucas Moura received a red card.
Dropping an unfortunate victory, Tottenham could only push Manchester United out of 4th place in the Premier League instead of rising to the top 3.
Tottenham currently have 50 points, the same as Newcastle United and Manchester United, but have played two more games than both teams.
With the current situation, the race for the 3rd and 4th positions in the Premier League to qualify for next season's Champions League promises to be very dramatic for the rest of the season.
In addition to these 3 teams, Brighton & Hove Albion also have a chance to break into the top 4. This team currently has 43 points but has only played 26 matches.
Meanwhile, with the draw, Everton temporarily escaped the "red light" group to rise to 15th place.
