Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City ranked 2nd and 4th respectively among the localities with the highest per capita income in the country. There was one province that surpassed both of the above cities.
According to the latest Vietnam population living standards survey report by the General Statistics Office, the average income per capita nationwide reached 4.96 million VND/person/month.
Of which, Hanoi with an income of 6.86 million VND/person/month is in 2nd place. Dong Nai is in 3rd place with an average income of 6.57 million VND/person/month. Ho Chi Minh City is in 4th place with 6.51 million VND/person/month.
Continuing to maintain the first position is Binh Duong province, with an average income per capita of 8.29 million VND/person/month.
Binh Duong is a province in the Southeast region, located in the Southern Key Economic Zone.
Binh Duong, once known as the "industrial capital" of Vietnam, is transforming strongly, becoming a multifunctional development area.
This is the first province with 5 cities including: Ben Cat; Thu Dau Mot; Tan Uyen; Thuan An and Di An.
Ranked 10th is Hai Duong province with an average income per capita of 5.33 million VND/person/month. This is a new face in the top 10 localities with the highest average income per capita in the country.
