Zelensky’s order was announced as he met with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The meeting came amid debate over the conduct of Ukraine’s 20-month war against Russia, with questions about how a counteroffensive in Ukraine’s east and south is progressing, according to Reuters.
"In today's meeting with Defense Minister Umerov, priorities were set. There is little time left to wait for results. We need to act quickly on the upcoming changes," President Zelensky stressed in his nightly video address.

President Zelensky said he had fired the commander of the military medical corps, Major General Tetiana Ostashchenko. She was replaced by Major General Anatoliy Kazmirchuk, head of a military hospital in the capital Kyiv, according to Reuters.
Ms Ostashchenko's dismissal comes a week after a Ukrainian news agency reported her imminent removal following consultations with medical staff and other officials responsible for supporting the military.
“The task is clear, as has been repeatedly stressed, especially in the world of combat medicine, that we need a new level of basic medical support for our soldiers,” President Zelensky stressed. He said that support included digitization and better communications.
Minister Umerov confirmed the new personnel changes on the Telegram messaging app and set priorities on digitalization, "tactical medicine" and personnel rotation.
In a recently published commentary, Ukrainian military commander-in-chief Valery Zaluzhniy said the war was entering a new phase of attrition and Ukraine needed more sophisticated technology to counter the Russian military, according to Reuters.
