Speaking to the press after talks with President To Lam during his state visit to Vietnam on June 20, the Russian President emphasized that the bilateral partnership in the agricultural sector is developing.
"Mutual supply of agricultural products is increasing and the product range is becoming more diverse. Vietnam's TH Group is building milk processing plants in several regions of Russia, including the Kaluga region and the Primorye region.
Last year, the construction of the first part of a livestock complex on the outskirts of Moscow with 6,000 dairy cows was completed," Putin said, referring to TH Group as an example of the partnership between the two countries in the agricultural sector.
According to TH Group, the TH Group project that Russian President Vladimir Putin mentioned is a high-tech dairy farming and milk processing complex deployed in the Russian Federation with a scale of up to 2.7 billion USD. To date, this is the largest Vietnamese agricultural project abroad with the largest investment capital.

The desire to show gratitude to Russia from Vietnamese morality
Responding to the media many times about the reason for choosing to invest in Russia, Ms. Thai Huong - the founder of the Group shared that it was because of her love for Russia. This is like a gesture of gratitude to Russia, which spared no effort and resources to help Vietnam during the war.
Besides, TH also wants to grasp the "golden spot" in business in Russia, seeing the great potential and business opportunities here.
TH Group implemented the project of Dairy Cow Farming and Milk Processing Complex in the Russian Federation at a time when Russia was facing difficulties due to embargoes, and Russian people were lacking milk and dairy products.
Statistics from 2013 to 2017 show that the amount of raw milk produced in Russia was about 20 million tons, accounting for 76% of the amount of raw milk produced.
The amount of milk that must be imported from abroad is about 7 million tons/year, accounting for 24%. And that is the huge market opportunity that TH has seen.
"The strategy of following the milk shortage map of the Russian Federation not only ensures the feasibility of the Project, reduces costs, transportation time and product distribution, but also contributes to Russia's self-sufficiency in milk and dairy products. Not only that, the project also aims for export, especially to the Chinese and Asia-Pacific markets," Ms. Thai Huong shared.
In September 2017, within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok, Ms. Thai Huong had the honor of meeting, having dinner and discussing plans to invest in agriculture in Russia with President Vladimir Putin.
The founder of TH Group was the only woman among 40 investors to meet President Vladimir Putin, and one of five foreign investors invited to speak.
After listening to her presentation of her plan, President Vladimir Putin assessed Ms. Thai Huong as a talented businesswoman, presenting a perfect action plan, of the caliber of an international businesswoman.
Project to connect Russian people's feelings for Vietnamese brands
When investing in Russia, the founder of TH Group assessed that the Russian Federation government - headed by President Putin - had appropriate policies to awaken and stimulate the country's great agricultural potential.
For TH, Russia applies a policy of reimbursing up to 30% of the cost of building a dairy farm, offering 3/4 interest rate incentives, and financial support for each herd of purebred cows... Along with that, the infrastructure, logistics, energy systems... are constantly improved.
According to Ms. Thai Huong, Russia's agricultural investment incentive policies are very transparent and attractive, encouraging domestic and international investors to focus on this field. In fact, TH's projects have received support and assistance from all aspects of the federal and local governments.
Up to now, TH Group's project in Russia has taken steady steps, becoming a bright spot in the Vietnam - Russia economic cooperation relationship.
In the provinces and territories where the project is being implemented, TH Group has invested hundreds of millions of USD in modern machinery, turning tens of thousands of hectares of land abandoned for decades in Russia into fertile fields. High-tech dairy farms have brought job opportunities to many local people.
At the groundbreaking ceremony of TH Group's dairy farming and milk processing project in the Far East, Mr. Korenchuk Alexey Alexandrovich - District Chief of Yakovlevsky District, Primorsky Region emphasized that TH is a very professional foreign investor.
"I am confident that the project will be successful. At this time, I just want to, on behalf of the people of Yakovlevsky district and the Russian people, thank TH Group for investing in our homeland," said Mr. Korenchuk Alexey Alexandrovich.
Reality has also shown that TH has technology, people, experience and is accelerating the effectiveness of project implementation in Russia.
TH Group has been successful in Vietnam with dairy farming projects and high-tech fresh milk processing, becoming a pioneer fresh milk enterprise, laying the foundation for the fresh milk industry and creating a fresh milk revolution in Vietnam.
Those experiences are the "handbook" to bring TH to Russia and continue to pioneer achievements in this market, becoming a bright spot in the Vietnam - Russia friendship, contributing to strengthening the good relationship and comprehensive strategic partnership of the two countries.
Currently, the total herd of dairy cows at the TH farm in Moscow province is nearly 3,000, of which half are milking. Here, TH is completing the farm to reach a scale of 6,000 milking cows (total herd is 12,000).
In Kaluga province, the total herd at TH's farm is 3,300. The first phase of the 500-ton dairy factory at Kaluga Industrial Zone is under construction.
In the Far East, TH Group has just started a dairy project with an investment scale of 19 billion rubles, with a scale of 6,000 milking cows (total herd of 12,000). Since 2021, TH has reclaimed land and planted soybeans.
In 2024, TH plans to plant soybeans on an area of 2,150 hectares and reclaim about 5,200 hectares of land. In 2025, it will reclaim more than 4,000 hectares of land, bringing the entire 13,000 hectares of land into cultivation.
TH’s fields in Moscow and Kaluga are considered model fields and are chosen as venues for agricultural competitions and exhibitions. Dairy farms are also developing day by day.
