*Israeli tanks fire at peacekeeping headquarters in Lebanon: On October 10, the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said that Israel's shelling of its headquarters in southern Lebanon earlier in the day had injured two blue berets.
UNIFIL said in a statement: "This morning, two peacekeepers were injured after an Israeli Merkava tank fired at an observation tower at the UNIFIL headquarters in Naqura.
It was the most serious incident reported by the peacekeeping mission since last week, when it said it had refused an Israeli request to "relocate" personnel from some of its posts.
