President Biden is expected to visit Germany from October 10-12 to attend a four-way summit with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The American leader also plans to hold a meeting with allies who support Ukraine to discuss continued support for Kyiv in the current conflict.
However, the American leader later decided to stay in Washington to direct the response to Hurricane Milton when it made landfall in Florida.
And so, according to sources, Mr. Biden will continue his planned trip to Germany on October 18th and stay for one day.
German media outlets reported that Biden would meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Spiegel also reported on the US President's new schedule for Germany, stating that preparations for the meetings were underway.
According to informed sources, Biden's visit will not be an official state visit, but rather a more limited one, focusing on attending to joint work being done by both sides.
The discussions in President Biden's meetings with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will revolve around the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
