On the afternoon of September 30th, at Sukhbaatar Square in Ulan Bator, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh presided over the welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President To Lam on his state visit to Mongolia. The ceremony was held solemnly according to the highest protocol reserved for heads of state. President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh greeted General Secretary and President To Lam at the parking area. Mongolian children presented flowers to General Secretary and President To Lam. Afterwards, the two heads of state walked together to the honor platform. The military band played the national anthems of Vietnam and Mongolia. Following this, President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh invited General Secretary and President To Lam to review the honor guard. The welcoming ceremony was attended by Vietnamese and Mongolian officials, as well as Ambassadors and Heads of Foreign Missions in Mongolia. Following the ceremony, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh received General Secretary and President To Lam privately in the honorary tent, according to traditional Mongolian customs. General Secretary and President To Lam signed the "Guest of Honor" book, with a message recorded in the guest book at the Mongolian State Palace. After the meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam and Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh held talks and witnessed the signing of cooperation documents.
