According to sources, the White House predicts that Mr. Netanyahu's political career is coming to an end and that his position as Prime Minister will only last a few months, or at least until the end of Israel's military campaign in the Gaza Strip.
President Biden spoke with the Israeli Prime Minister and asked him to consider leaving a legacy for his successor.
According to Politico , the reason why Mr. Netanyahu's position as Prime Minister was shaken was due to the failure of Israeli intelligence leading to the surprise attack by Hamas on October 7.
Not only that, Tel Aviv's military campaign in the Gaza Strip also faced fierce opposition in many places.
In a previous press conference, Prime Minister Netanyahu refused to comment on the possibility of resigning, while emphasizing that he was fully focused on the military campaign.
On the same day, President Biden called for a pause in the Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza Strip.
At a special session of the United Nations General Assembly on Palestine, Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya called for an immediate end to the bloodshed in the Middle East to prevent the risk of widespread war.
