According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in March 2025 alone, total retail sales of goods and service revenue are estimated at VND 6,873 billion (up 9.2% over the previous month, up 16.1% over the same period in 2024).

Of which, retail revenue is estimated at VND 3,948 billion (up 7.7% over the previous month, up 11.6% over the same period in 2024); revenue from accommodation and catering services is estimated at VND 1,585 billion (up 13.0% over the previous month; up 28.3% over the same period); revenue from travel services is estimated at VND 51 billion (up 49.4% over the previous month; up 2.2% over the same period); revenue from other services is estimated at more than VND 1,289 billion (up 8.1% over the previous month, up 17.3% over the same period).

According to the survey results, the total retail sales of goods and service revenue in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at VND 20,587 billion (up 12.2% compared to the first quarter of 2024). By industry, retail sales of goods account for the highest proportion, estimated at more than VND 12,239 billion (accounting for nearly 60%, up 8.2% compared to the first quarter of 2024); accommodation and food revenue is estimated at VND 4,507 billion (accounting for nearly 22%, up 24.8% compared to the first quarter of 2024); tourism revenue is estimated at VND 121 billion (up 5.7%); other service revenue is estimated at VND 3,720 billion (up 12.1%).
