Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh expressed his grief and deepest condolences on the passing of comrade Khamtay Siphandone.

In the condolence book, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized that former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and former President of Laos Khamtay Siphandone was "an outstanding leader, an outstanding son of the Lao people, a loyal revolutionary soldier who sacrificed his whole life for national independence, freedom, happiness of the people and the prosperous development of Laos".

The passing of former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and former President of Laos Khamtay Siphandone is an extremely great loss to the Party, State, Lao people and his family.

Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh was moved to share that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have lost a great friend, a very close comrade and brother, who made many extremely important contributions to building, consolidating and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Lao Consul General in Khon Kaen, Thailand Somsack Vilaythone thanked the delegation for coming to express his condolences, as well as the sincere sympathy of the Party, State and people of Vietnam with the Party, State and people of Laos on the passing of comrade Khamtay Siphandone. Mr. Somsack Vilaythone emotionally said that the Vietnamese Consulate General delegation was the first delegation to come to sign the condolence book at the Lao Consulate General.
