Summary of activities of Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Song Clubs at provincial level for the period 2019-2024

On November 8, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference to review the activities of the Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Song Clubs at the provincial level for the period 2019-2024.

Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in preserving and promoting the values ​​of Xoan singing and Phu Tho folk songs at the grassroots level.

The province currently has 37 Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Song Clubs recognized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (provincial level clubs), attracting more than 1,600 members. In recent years, especially in the period of 2019-2024, Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Song Clubs have operated effectively, actively participated in cultural and artistic activities of the province, district and locality, achieved encouraging achievements, and contributed positively to the work of preserving and promoting the value of the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity - Xoan Singing of Phu Tho.

The clubs have actively participated in training courses, teaching and practicing Xoan singing; mass art festivals, Xoan singing and folk song festivals serving the Hung Kings' death anniversary - Hung Temple Festival, Xoan singing and folk song festivals for Phu Tho Xoan singing and folk song clubs at the provincial level, Xoan singing festivals for teachers and students of primary and secondary schools in the province as well as festivals, competitions and performances at district and commune levels.

The work of teaching Xoan singing to the artistic core of the Club and the locality, and the people who love Xoan singing has been paid attention to. Up to now, the localities and the Club have organized over 200 classes of Xoan singing, attracting over 4,000 participants. Some Xoan singing and folk song clubs of Phu Tho have done a good job of teaching Xoan singing such as: Tan Phu Secondary School Club (Tan Son district), Hung Son town Club (Lam Thao district), Thanh Thuy town Club, Dao Xa commune Club (Thanh Thuy district), Phu Tho town Department of Education and Training Club...

Individuals of Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Song Clubs with outstanding achievements in preserving and promoting the values ​​of Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Songs at the grassroots level received Certificates of Merit from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Along with that, the clubs have well organized activities to serve political tasks, serve local conferences, perform Xoan singing to serve tourists, introduce and promote heritage to a large number of people and visitors from all over the country during festivals; exchange and learn experiences with Xoan guilds and clubs inside and outside the province. Xoan singing performances and exchanges are regularly and enthusiastically carried out by the clubs, creating a good impression on the people of the whole country and foreign tourists such as the program "Xoan singing in ancient villages" associated with cultural heritage tourism sites at Lai Len temple, Thet communal house (Kim Duc commune), Hung Lo communal house (Hung Lo commune), An Thai communal house and Cam temple (Phuong Lau commune)... Some Xoan singing and folk song clubs in Phu Tho have many active activities such as: Hung Long commune club (Doan Hung district), Thanh Thuy town club (Thanh Thuy district), Chi Tien commune club (Thanh Ba district), Tay Coc commune club (Doan Hung district), Phu Nham commune club (Phu Ninh district)...

At the conference, 29 groups and 32 individuals from Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Song Clubs with outstanding achievements in preserving and promoting the values ​​of Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Songs at the grassroots level were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
