On the morning of December 15, in Thanh Hoa province, the Emulation Cluster of the Journalists Association of 6 North Central provinces held a conference to summarize emulation and reward work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Journalists Associations of 6 North Central provinces, including: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue.

In 2023, the Journalists Association of the 6 North Central provinces closely followed the professional and political tasks of each locality, constantly enhancing the leadership and management role of the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Executive Committee of the Association in activities of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in conjunction with educating professional ethics for journalists; continuing to implement Directive No. 43 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation"; strengthening the inspection and supervision of the implementation of the 2016 Press Law, 10 Articles regulating professional ethics; Rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists; building a cultural environment in press agencies towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025)...

In addition, the Journalists Association of the 6 North Central provinces has also innovated and diversified professional activities; organized well press awards, professional special issues, changed membership cards, admitted new members, considered awarding the "For the cause of Vietnamese Journalism" Medal...

Regarding the tasks in 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association will continue to do a good job of political and ideological education for members; implement resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, resolutions of provincial Journalists Association congresses for the 2020-2025 term; strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with the Press Law; Association Charter; 10 Articles regulating professional ethics of journalists; Rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists; Code of conduct on social networks; build cultural press agencies and culture of Vietnamese journalists in the area; implement Plan 316 of the Central Propaganda Department on the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025); organize training in journalism skills...

At the conference, the Journalists Associations of 6 provinces signed an emulation agreement for 2024. The Thanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association awarded the Emulation Flag to the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association - the host of the conference to summarize the emulation work in 2024.

The conference unanimously reviewed and proposed that the Vietnam Journalists Association award the 2023 Emulation Flag to the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association; the President of the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded certificates of merit to the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association and the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association.
