On the morning of May 26, the Party Committee of the Army Officer School 1 held a conference to review 12 years of implementing Directive No. 124-CT/QUTW of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee on strengthening leadership and direction of political education work at units in the new period (Directive No. 124); 10 years of implementing the Project "Innovation of political education work at units in the new period" (Project) and summarizing the 2023 Political Teaching Cadre Competition. The evaluation of the results of the 2023 Political Teaching Cadre Competition stated: Army Officer School 1 organized the competition at 2 levels: Base level and school level. The base level took place from March 10 to 30, with 64 comrades participating, 100% achieving good and excellent results. The school level took place from April 24 to 26, with 21 comrades who were Party Committee Secretaries, Political Commissars of the system and battalion and 15 political teaching cadres selected from the base level competition. The cadres participating in the competition performed three parts: Compiling lectures; knowledge competition and teaching practice. The results were 100% achieving good and excellent results.

After 12 years of implementing Directive No. 124 of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee; 10 years of implementing the Project, the Party Committee of Army Officer School 1 has fully implemented the program, content, and time of political education at the unit for the subjects with many forms and measures. Organizing dialogues between leaders, commanders and subordinates; between functional agencies and cadres, lecturers, students, staff, and soldiers; promptly and satisfactorily answering the thoughts, aspirations, proposals, and recommendations of soldiers, promoting democracy, creating consensus and solidarity in the unit.

Strictly implement the inspection and re-inspection plan of the competent authorities on political education work; focus on improving the quality of annual political awareness testing of the subjects, through forms such as: Writing, written tests, multiple-choice tests combined with essays and oral tests... to ensure objective, honest and accurate assessment. The test results are a criterion for assessing the quality of party organizations, party members, exams, considering excellent lecturers, evaluating cadres and employees, and considering emulation and rewards. Coordinate with the competent authorities of the General Department of Politics to organize training to improve qualifications, expertise, skills, management, exploitation, use and preservation of all kinds of materials for party work and political work. Regimes, norms and standards of cultural and spiritual life of the subjects are fully guaranteed; the management and use of equipment and means of political education are put into order, operating effectively, contributing to improving the quality of political education in the whole school.

At the Conference, the Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the School awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 18 individuals with good achievements in 12 years of implementing Directive No. 124 of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee on strengthening leadership and direction of political education work at the unit in the new period and 10 years of implementing the Project "Innovation of political education work at the unit in the new period". Awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 individuals who won First, Second and Third prizes, awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 individuals who won Encouragement prizes and certified 27 individuals who achieved the title of excellent political lecturers at the School level in 2023.
