On the occasion of presenting the Holy Cross Medal to Mr. Tran Thanh Luong, Dong A Parish - Thai Binh Diocese, on April 8, Archbishop Marek Zalewski, Permanent Representative of the Holy See of the Vatican in Vietnam and Mr. Tran Thanh Luong, Dong A Parish - Thai Binh Diocese visited and presented gifts at the Center for Social Work and Social Protection in Minh Quang Commune and Thai Binh Dermatology Hospital, Facility 2, Vu Van Commune (Vu Thu).

Archbishop Marek Zalewski, Permanent Representative of the Vatican in Vietnam, presented gifts at the Center for Social Work and Social Protection.

*In the morning, the delegation visited and presented gifts at the Center for Social Work and Social Protection in Minh Quang Commune. The Center is caring for and nurturing nearly 200 social subjects, mainly the elderly, the disabled and homeless children. In order to support the Center in strengthening its facilities and equipment to help those being cared for and nurtured here to have more convenience in their daily activities and improve their quality of life, Archbishop Marek Zalewski, Permanent Representative of the Holy See in Vietnam and Mr. Tran Thanh Luong, Dong A Parish - Thai Binh Diocese presented the Center with many practical gifts such as: clean water filtration system; solar water heater; specialized kitchen utensils and some essential gifts with a total value of over 130 million VND.

Archbishop Marek Zalewski, Permanent Representative of the Vatican in Vietnam, presented the Center for Social Work and Social Protection with many practical gifts.

The leaders of the Center for Social Work and Social Protection expressed their deep gratitude to Archbishop Marek Zalewski and Mr. Tran Thanh Luong, Dong A Parish - Thai Binh Diocese for giving the Center very meaningful and practical gifts. The concern and sharing of Archbishop Marek Zalewski is a great source of encouragement for the staff and civil servants working at the Center as well as the subjects with especially difficult circumstances who are being cared for and nurtured here.

*In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and presented 131 gifts to patients being treated at Thai Binh Dermatology Hospital, Branch 2, Vu Van Commune, and some medical equipment worth 120 million VND. The gifts are a source of encouragement, helping to ease the pain of illness; at the same time, showing concern and sharing for those who are unfortunately sick; contributing to spreading volunteer activities for the community.
