Although he has produced many successful and resounding programs about Hanoi, “Hanoi’s Marks” is truly an opportunity for director Pham Hoang Giang to “repay” Hanoi, the place he is attached to, loves and is grateful for giving him the life and career he has today. Like many people, Hanoi, although not his birthplace, is closely connected to the life of Pham Hoang Giang and his small family.
Devoting many months to the program is considered Pham Hoang Giang's contribution to the beloved Capital, aiming to introduce to visitors from all over the world a Hanoi with 70 years of heroic and brave history, always maintaining its elegant qualities, with its own unique beauty that all Vietnamese people are proud of.
Being entrusted to be the General Director of the program “Hanoi’s Red Marks” to open “Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City”, I do not have the ambition to tell everything about Hanoi over the past 70 years, but only hope that through art, I will “distill” a part of Hanoi’s “red marks”, in order to introduce to the people of Ho Chi Minh City, tourists from all over the world to better understand the 70-year heroic and proud history of the Capital, the development, the harmonious beauty between tradition and modernity of the Capital today…”. According to the General Director, the message of the program aims to portray “Hanoi’s Red Marks” as the Red Marks of history - the Red Marks of the present and the Red Marks of the future in the period of integration and development. All of these have created a Capital Hanoi connecting the historical sources and quintessence of the nation, where the spirit of patriotism, love of peace, solidarity and aspiration to rise of the whole nation converge, crystallize and shine.
