General Department of Taxation summarizes tax collection work in 2023

On December 21, the General Department of Taxation held a national online conference to review tasks in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024.

In 2023, the total revenue managed by the tax authority is estimated to reach VND 1,448,200 billion, equal to 105.5% of the estimate, equal to 95.4% compared to the implementation in 2022. 16/20 revenue items and taxes completed and exceeded the estimate; 8/20 revenue items and taxes had growth compared to the same period. By locality, 46/63 localities completed and exceeded the revenue estimate.

The delegate attended the conference at our province's bridge point.

In 2024, the National Assembly assigned the Tax sector to collect VND 1,486,413 billion in budget revenue. To achieve the above revenue, the General Department of Taxation will effectively implement the program of developing tax policies and laws, perfecting the tax management process according to international practices to ensure fairness, focusing on tax collection efficiency, promptly implementing documents, policies and laws into life. Directing tax authorities at all levels to continue to closely monitor the actual situation, to study and propose solutions to support taxpayers in accordance with the world and domestic economic developments in the coming time; at the same time, focusing on timely and effective implementation of these solutions to support people and businesses to quickly recover production and business, create momentum for economic development, and nurture revenue sources.
