On November 14, 2023, at the ICE BSD Jakarta International Exhibition Center, Indonesia, the ENLIT ASIA 2023 Conference opened with the participation of more than 400 businesses operating in the energy sector from more than 50 countries around the world. In the Power Energy Award - Enlit Asia program, EVNHCMC was honored to receive the international award "Smart Grid project of the year" for its outstanding achievements in developing the smart grid system.
Enlit Asia International Conference is a unified brand of PowerGen Asia and Asian Utility Week (started in 2014), in which EVNHCMC has continuously sent delegations of experts and speakers to attend and advise on the event's contents over the past 10 years.
This is the largest and most important program in the region, where energy corporations and solution providers in the ASEAN region and around the world such as ABB, Siemens, Mitsubishi, TNB Malaysia, SPGroup Singapore, PLN Indonesia, MEA Thailand... The event is held annually with the aim of connecting, sharing experiences, introducing new trends and new technologies. This is an important opportunity for units to exchange and learn, and EVNHCMC is the only unit in Vietnam that always sends technical staff and young experts to participate in reporting and discussing topics at the event.
In 2023, Enlit Asia will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, with more than 400 businesses and hundreds of experts, speakers and thousands of customers from more than 50 countries around the world attending.
Here, EVNHCMC is the only representative unit of Vietnam to introduce the digital transformation journey, scientific and technical achievements, new technology applications and live demonstration of the most advanced applications such as: power outage management system - OMS, loss management system, smart grid - Smart Grid, micro smart grid - Micro Grid, smart glasses - Smar Glasses, smart helmet - Smart Helmet, smart reporting system - Business Intelligente Reports, advertising panel on distribution substation - Advertisement On Distribution Substation, customer care application - EVNHCMC CSKH, innovation application - EVNHCMC Innovation Hub at the exhibition booth of the Corporation.
Thanks to its outstanding achievements in developing smart grids and innovation, the Corporation was invited by the Organizing Committee to participate in prestigious awards within the framework of Power Energy Award - Enlit Asia 2023 (12 nomination categories and more than 100 registered units). This is where the Council of leading experts in the world will score and select the best projects among hundreds of projects from participating units. In the important category of Smart Grid Award, EVNHCMC's "Distribution Grid Automation Project" has excelled along with 2 other projects of TNB Malaysia Group including "AMI Advanced Metering Project" and "Distribution Grid Automation Project" to enter the final round.
At the Gala Awards Night, EVNHCMC's Project was honored to be ranked First and became the first unit of the Vietnam Electricity Industry to surpass large corporations in the region to win First Prize in the field of smart grid development (high and medium voltage grid automation system project category).
EVNHCMC's representative emphasized: This proud achievement is thanks to EVNHCMC's tireless efforts over the past 10 years in modernizing and developing smart grids in Ho Chi Minh City. As of August 2023, EVNHCMC will become the first unit in Vietnam to have a modern medium-voltage grid with over 860 lines operating 100% fully automatically. In which, the distribution grid automation architecture - DAS (Distribution Automation System) includes: 02 geographically independent control centers, using Survalent's SCADA/DAS core software (scale of 200,000 data points), connecting to nearly 4,000 switching devices such as Circuit Breaker (CB), Load Breaking Switch (LBS), Recloser, Ring Main Unit (RMU) via IEC 60870-5-104 communication protocol thanks to the communication infrastructure based on separate optical fiber (Optic Fiber) and radio (4G). The system is also fully equipped with security technologies such as firewall, one-way data exchange mechanism (Data Diode), privileged access management (capam), network device operation log collection (logrthym), security vulnerability scanning software (symantec), meeting ISO 27019 standards.
The system's information security monitoring is carried out at the Information Security Operation Center (SOC) located at the EVNHCMC Data Center. All stages including: system design, procurement, installation, configuration, programming, and equipment testing are carried out entirely based on the Corporation's internal resources.
These achievements have demonstrated EVNHCMC's capacity, level, and ability to reach regional and global levels. In the coming time, the Corporation will continue to focus on upgrading digital transformation to level 4/5 according to the assessment of the Ministry of Information and Communications, while developing smart grids in depth, deserving to be the leading unit of the national electricity industry in the application of science and technology and innovation./.
| According to the 2022 Smart Grid Index (SGI) assessment table conducted by Singapore Power Group , EVNHCMC achieved 71.4/100 points, ranking 47/94 Power Companies in the world, in which the field of grid monitoring and control (Monitoring and Control) achieved the maximum score (4/4 points). That has helped the power supply assurance indexes such as SAIFI decrease from 6.72 times to 0.47 times and the SAIDI index decrease from 720 minutes to 35 minutes. |
