Kinhtedothi - On the evening of November 12, General Secretary To Lam, Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the National Great Unity Day with officials and people of Quan Thanh ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.
Also attending were Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi Bui Thi Minh Hoai.
On the side of Hanoi delegates, there were: Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City Nguyen Lan Huong; leaders of Ba Dinh district, officials and people of Quan Thanh ward.
At the festival, General Secretary To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, delegates, officials and people of Quan Thanh ward reviewed the 94-year tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; listened to reports on the situation of the great national unity bloc and the results of implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in 2024 in the locality.
The report at the Festival showed that in recent years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quan Thanh Ward has actively innovated the content and methods of operation, aiming to gather and promote the strength of the Great National Unity, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the tasks of economic, cultural, social, national defense and security development, contributing to the construction of Quan Thanh Ward, maintaining the key area A1 of the Capital.
In 2024, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, social organizations and people of Quan Thanh ward have focused on implementing well the assigned economic targets. Up to now, the total state budget revenue is estimated at over 24 billion VND, reaching 215% of the assigned plan. The entire political system and people of Quan Thanh ward have made efforts to participate, organize many meaningful activities, build skillful mass mobilization models with practical content, unite, and join hands to implement the criteria of urban civilization set forth by the Party Committee and the ward government.
The Ward Fatherland Front Committee has presided over and coordinated with socio-political organizations to carry out 5 Creative Solidarity projects to practically celebrate the important events of the Capital and the country, the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital, and the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, term 2024 - 2029, such as: "Residential area of solidarity, consensus, security, safety, prosperity, happiness", the model "Family of 3 haves, 3 know-hows in fire prevention and fighting", the models have attracted the active participation and support of all classes of people in the ward with a total cost of over 500 million VND, the model "Great Solidarity House" mobilized socialized resources to repair houses for 3 families in difficult circumstances...
At the same time, well implement the Law on Democracy at the grassroots level, promote the role and effectiveness in supervision, social criticism, coordinate in mediation work, do not let hot spots arise, complicated cases last for a long time;... The Ward Fatherland Front Committee has actively propagated and mobilized cadres, members, union members and people of all walks of life to actively support various funds with a total amount of over 700 million VND, of which the "For the poor" fund is nearly 130 million VND, the "For Vietnam's seas and islands" fund is nearly 70 million VND. In the past year, the Fatherland Front Committee, together with the Party Committee, the government, and member organizations, organized activities to care for and give gifts to 402 cases of policy families, the elderly, children, disadvantaged families, and people receiving social protection, worth 217 million VND.
Especially during the historic storm Yagi, the people in the ward actively joined hands with the Party Committee and the ward government to overcome the damage caused by the storm, such as participating in the general environmental cleaning launched by the city, supporting people affected by the storm with over 300 million VND, giving gifts to 30 families affected by the storm...
From the results achieved in the past year, Quan Thanh ward was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal Certificate of Merit from the President.
Expressing his joy at attending the Great Unity Day in the area, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam commended the achievements and efforts of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Hanoi in general, and Ba Dinh district and Quan Thanh ward in particular, over the past time.
Affirming that after nearly 80 years of founding the country and nearly 40 years of renovation, under the correct and wise leadership of the Party, the drastic participation of the entire political system; the joint efforts and consensus of the people; promoting national strength with the strength of the times, the Vietnamese revolutionary cause has achieved great achievements. General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the strength of the great national unity bloc is always one of the most important and powerful resources for the entire Party, people and army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully carry out the cause of renovation, develop the country in general and build a peaceful, cultured, civilized and modern capital in particular.
Stating that our country has gathered all the necessary conditions and is facing a historic opportunity to enter a new era, an era of national growth, however, to achieve this, General Secretary To Lam pointed out that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to thoroughly grasp the viewpoint of "taking the people as the center and subject of all policies and strategies", "taking the happiness and prosperity of the people as the goal to strive for", focusing on removing difficulties and "bottlenecks" to clear, mobilize and effectively exploit all resources, create opportunities, liberate all potentials, strongly promote socio-economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of the people, ensure that all people enjoy the fruits of innovation and development, and no one is left behind.
General Secretary To Lam shared that all policies of the Party and State focus on the People, everyone is protected and allowed to do what the law allows; he hopes that in the coming time, every citizen needs to increase the practice of thrift and fight against waste. At the same time, actively participate in monitoring the practice of thrift and fight against waste, promptly detect and report to the authorities about wasteful behaviors for handling.
"I believe and hope that the people in the area will continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition, promote the fine traditional cultural identity and the strength of national solidarity, and work together with the local Party Committee and government to strive to build Quan Thanh ward as well as all localities in Ba Dinh district and the whole city of Hanoi to become increasingly rich, civilized, and modern, worthy of the glorious tradition of the heroic district of the heroic capital, the cultural district of the civilized capital, and the peaceful district of the city for peace," said General Secretary To Lam.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam presented gifts to 15 veterans who participated in the liberation of the capital and the Dien Bien Phu battlefield; and 16 party members with over 70 years of Party membership.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented gifts to the Quan Thanh ward community and 22 gifts to couples who have lived happily together for over 50 years and are exemplary cultural families.
Leaders of the Central Committee, Hanoi City and Ba Dinh District presented gifts to outstanding families and families in difficult circumstances in the area.
