On the afternoon of August 26, General Secretary and President To Lam presented the President's decision appointing Deputy Prime Ministers, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, and Minister of Justice for the 2021-2026 term.
On the afternoon of August 26, at the Presidential Palace, General Secretary and President To Lam chaired the ceremony to announce and present the President's decision to appoint Deputy Prime Ministers, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, and Minister of Justice for the 2021-2026 term.
Also attending were Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security.
Also attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Party Central Committee members: Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh and leaders of central departments, ministries and branches, and Yen Bai and Khanh Hoa provinces.
Authorized by the President, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pham Thanh Ha announced the President's decisions to appoint Nguyen Hoa Binh, Ho Duc Phoc and Bui Thanh Son as Deputy Prime Ministers; Do Duc Duy as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment; and Nguyen Hai Ninh as Minister of Justice. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other Party and State leaders presented flowers and congratulated the newly appointed comrades.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary and President To Lam congratulated the five comrades who had just received the appointment decisions; affirming that this was the recognition and high appreciation of the Party, National Assembly and Government for the contributions and dedication of the comrades in the assigned fields of work.
The General Secretary and President assessed that Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh is an excellent cadre of the Party, State and the Court sector; has been well-trained, held many leadership positions in central agencies and has been tested in localities; is a person with rich experience in judicial activities; and has implemented breakthrough solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of court operations.
Comrade Bui Thanh Son is a professional diplomat with extensive experience in foreign affairs and high international prestige. He has made many contributions and provided good advice to the Party and Government and has led and directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to effectively implement policies and guidelines in the field of foreign affairs, achieving many important achievements and results.
Comrade Ho Duc Phoc is a well-trained official in the field of public finance and state budget, especially with a lot of practical experience, having held many leadership positions at the local and central levels.
Comrade Nguyen Hai Ninh is a qualified and capable leader who has held leadership positions in many different fields at central agencies as well as undergone training and challenges locally.
Comrade Do Duc Duy is a well-trained cadre, having held many leadership positions in the Ministry of Construction; having undergone training and challenges locally, he has leadership capacity and innovative thinking. In his work, he is quick to grasp and handle work promptly and effectively.
The General Secretary and President asked the five comrades to continue promoting revolutionary traditions, upholding moral qualities, being absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the people, always studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh; striving to be worthy of being exemplary leaders, excellently completing all assigned tasks, actively contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.
The General Secretary and President requested the new Deputy Prime Ministers, together with the Government, to inherit and promote the valuable traditions and experiences of the Government through the periods; to synchronously, resolutely and effectively perform the tasks and powers of the Government according to the Constitution and laws; to focus on advising and leading the work of building and perfecting the Vietnamese socialist rule-of-law State of the people, by the people, for the people, led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The General Secretary and President also requested the Ministers of Natural Resources and Environment, the Minister of Justice, together with the Party Central Committee and leaders of the Ministry to unite and be unified in the direction of each Ministry and branch; to constantly strive, overcome difficulties, overcome challenges, and excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people; to build a team of cadres and civil servants who are truly courageous, politically steadfast, professionally proficient, skilled and effective in their work.
Affirming that the Party, State and people trust and have high expectations for the Government in the work of national construction in the coming years, the General Secretary and President believes that, with the tradition of solidarity and unity, with the support and assistance of ministries, branches, localities, and the entire people and army, comrades Nguyen Hoa Binh, Bui Thanh Son, Ho Duc Phoc, Do Duc Duy, and Nguyen Hai Ninh will excellently fulfill their assigned responsibilities.
On behalf of the comrades who received the appointment decisions, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh respectfully thanked the Politburo, the Central Executive Committee, the National Assembly, the Government and the General Secretary and President personally for their trust and confidence in recommending, approving and appointing the five comrades to new positions.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that this is a great honor, as well as a very heavy responsibility before the Party, State and people.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh vows to strive continuously, maintain and set an example of solidarity, unanimity, and make continuous efforts with the Government to promote achievements, overcome shortcomings and problems, remove difficulties and bottlenecks, overcome challenges and obstacles, and contribute his utmost to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, focusing on completing the goals and targets of the basic tasks in the final years of the term.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh hopes to continue receiving the attention and direction of the leaders of the Party, State, central and local ministries and branches, and to excellently fulfill his tasks in his new position./.
