General Secretary and President To Lam receives National Secretary of the French Communist Party Fabien Roussel

Within the framework of his visit to attend the 19th Francophone Summit and his official visit to the French Republic, on the morning of October 7 (Paris time), General Secretary and President To Lam received National Secretary of the French Communist Party Fabien Roussel and a high-ranking delegation of the Party, including members of the French Communist Party at the French National Assembly and Senate.

At the reception, General Secretary, President To Lam expressed his joy and affirmed that the meeting and exchange with the National Secretary of the French Communist Party Fabien Roussel was an opportunity to strengthen the friendly and solidarity relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the French Communist Party. President Ho Chi Minh was one of the founding members and worked hard to build up the French Communist Party with generations of members.

The Party, State and people of Vietnam always appreciate and remember the support of the French Communist Party through the periods, from the previous period of fighting for national independence to the current period of building and defending the socialist Fatherland.

General Secretary and President To Lam informed the National Secretary about the achievements of 40 years of Renovation and the foreign policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam, including maintaining and promoting relations with communist parties, workers' parties and left-wing forces to make worthy contributions to the world revolutionary cause.

He also informed about the results of his participation in the 19th Francophone Summit and his official visit to France, especially the enhancement of bilateral relations. Vietnam-France to new heights, opening up many opportunities for extensive cooperation in many fields.

Appreciating the efforts and positive results achieved by the French Communist Party in recent times, General Secretary and President To Lam expressed his hope that the French Communist Party will continue to promote its experience and revolutionary traditions to further enhance the Party's position and role in France and Europe in the coming time.

At the same time, General Secretary and President To Lam suggested that the two parties continue to cooperate actively and effectively, including promoting cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, local cooperation, increasing delegation exchanges, maintaining cooperation between Nhan Dan Newspaper and Nhan Dao Newspaper, well organizing the 4th Theoretical Workshop between the two Parties and the visit of the National Secretary to Vietnam.

National Secretary of the French Communist Party Fabien Roussel expressed his pleasure at meeting and talking with General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation during his official visit to France. He highly appreciated and affirmed that the visit of General Secretary and President To Lam is of great significance in strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the two Parties, while creating a new milestone and development step for the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.

Comrade Fabien Roussel congratulated Comrade To Lam on being elected General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, believing that the Party, State and people of Vietnam will continue to achieve more achievements and positive results under the leadership of the General Secretary.

Comrade Fabien Roussel also highly appreciated Vietnam's achievements in nearly 40 years of Renovation, affirming the role and correct leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The French Communist Party always appreciates and prioritizes developing solidarity and friendship with the Communist Party of Vietnam and will strive to further deepen the foundation of the good relationship between the two Parties, actively contributing to strengthening the relationship between the two countries and peoples in the coming time, including promoting cooperation in the economic field, on the National Assembly channel and local cooperation.
