General Secretary and President To Lam visits and meets with officials, staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Mongolia

Continuing his State visit to Mongolia, on the morning of October 1, local time, General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy, ​​met and had a friendly talk with the Embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Mongolia.

Talking with the staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Mongolia, on behalf of the Party, the State and personally, General Secretary and President To Lam sent to the staff of the Embassy and the entire Vietnamese community in Mongolia his warmest regards, wishes for health, happiness and the warmest feelings from the homeland of Vietnam.

General Secretary and President To Lam said that this visit to Mongolia is of great significance, taking place when the relationship between the two countries is at its best stage of development; mutual understanding and trust between the people of the two countries is increasingly deepening; cooperation in many fields such as politics, defense, security, economy and tourism is increasingly expanding and achieving some substantial results in recent times. The two sides issued a statement establishing a "Comprehensive Partnership" on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations; at the same time, they discussed major measures to promote the relationship between the two countries to become more in-depth, effective, substantial and long-term in the coming time.

Informing the Vietnamese community in Mongolia about some highlights of the domestic situation, the General Secretary and President clearly stated the determination to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. This is the highest goal of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army in 2025. This task will be carried out with the highest determination, the greatest effort, drastic actions, with a focus and key points with the most effective implementation solutions, concentrating all resources and measures, striving to achieve and exceed the set goals.

To achieve the above goals, it is necessary to implement drastic, decisive and accelerated solutions to successfully carry out the socio-economic development tasks in 2025; achieve the targets and continue to create strong changes in the following years; focus on the highest priority solutions to ensure high economic growth along with environmental protection, social security, and best care for people's lives; firmly ensure national defense and security, improve the effectiveness of foreign affairs and constantly enhance Vietnam's position and contribution to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

Regarding the Vietnamese community in Mongolia, General Secretary and President To Lam suggested that they continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, strive to rise up, actively integrate, comply with the law and contribute to the development of the host country, contributing to the development of the Vietnam-Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia plays the role of a bridge between the two countries and between the ministries and branches of the two sides, effectively coordinating the implementation of agreements between the two countries' senior leaders, including the Joint Statement on establishing the Vietnam-Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership; coordinating to effectively promote relations and cooperation between the two countries in all fields...

The Embassy continues to do a good job in community work and citizen protection; does a good job of propaganda and mobilization for our community in Mongolia to continue to comply with local laws, not to let any violations of the law happen, affecting the image of the country and Vietnamese people in the eyes of Mongolian friends, avoiding negative impacts on the relationship between the two countries which is developing very well; to protect, help, and support each other to do business and study smoothly...

At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Nguyen Tuan Thanh reported to the General Secretary and President on the results of the Embassy's work, the situation of Vietnam-Mongolia bilateral relations and work with the Vietnamese community in Mongolia. The Ambassador said that the Vietnamese community in Mongolia currently has about 900 people; there are two organizations and associations: the Association of Vietnamese in Mongolia and the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Mongolia.

In recent times, organizations and associations in Mongolia have been actively participating in activities organized and guided by the Embassy; carrying out many practical and effective activities towards the homeland and the country. Recently, the community and the Embassy's staff have raised 241 million VND to support localities in the country affected by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi).

Representing the Vietnamese community in Mongolia, Mr. Nguyen Huy Tuan, Member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Mongolia, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Mongolia, sincerely thanked the affection and attention of the Party and State leaders, the support and companionship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Vietnam in Mongolia for the community. On the part of the community, they affirmed that they always turn to their homeland and wish to contribute their strength and intelligence to the development of the country, while continuing to carry out practical activities, contributing to fostering the friendly relations between the two countries to a new height.

Representing the young generation of overseas Vietnamese living in Mongolia, Nguyen Thi Doan Trang, a second-year student of the Faculty of International Relations, National University of Mongolia, said that the development of Vietnam-Mongolia relations has opened up many opportunities for students from both countries to exchange and study. However, the number of Vietnamese students studying in Mongolia is currently limited, expressing her hope that more young Vietnamese people will know about and take full advantage of the educational conditions that the Mongolian Government offers to Vietnam.

Previously, General Secretary and President To Lam and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation visited the Memorial Space for President Ho Chi Minh.
