These activities focus on honoring the true value of books, emphasizing the key role of reading in cultivating knowledge, practicing skills, exploring creative thinking and perfecting each person's personality.
Many useful activities
On April 17, at Trung Vuong Primary School, the Provincial Library coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Tuy Hoa City to organize a Reading Culture Festival and STEM education activities with the theme "Reading - Unleashing talent with heroic historical pages". This activity attracted the participation of students from 16 primary schools and 12 secondary schools across the city.
The highlight of the festival is the STEM exhibition area, where each school introduces 8 STEM products created by students in the 2024-2025 school year. In addition, the space for displaying books, newspapers, and reference materials is also beautifully decorated, serving the needs of learning and teaching. Students also demonstrate their presentation skills, introducing the significance of the booth and school library activities. Another meaningful activity is the exhibition of 5 beautiful handwriting essays by students, praising the beauty of the homeland on A4 paper.
The activities of the Provincial Library not only bring interesting and useful cultural space for book lovers, but also create conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees, teachers, students and people in the province to pay more attention to reading culture, improve knowledge, serve work, study and research.

Within the framework of the festival, the 2025 City-level Children's Storytelling Contest based on Books also took place enthusiastically. The children demonstrated their talents through two competitions: Storytelling based on books and talent. This is a useful playground, encouraging the love of reading and developing storytelling skills for students.
Previously, during the Book and Reading Culture Week 2025 with the theme "Reading Culture - Connecting the Community", students had a golden opportunity to enrich their knowledge and arouse their love of reading through a series of interesting activities: "I love Vietnamese history" helps to explore the heroic history; "Matching book covers" trains creative thinking. In addition, "Feelings about the library", "Solving secret crossword puzzles", "Identifying authors and works" and "Reading books of choice" brought diverse experiences, opening up a vast world of knowledge. These meaningful activities have added motivation to the students' reading journey.
Nguyen Cat Luu, a student at Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, shared: “This Book and Reading Culture Week gives me the opportunity to access many good, useful books that are suitable for my age. I especially like books about science, geography and the heroic history of Vietnam.”
Improve people's knowledge
Through many practical activities, the Provincial Library has been striving to arouse the love of reading in the community and schools. The goal is to spread the reading culture, foster ethics and the precious tradition of learning. Typically, this unit has just coordinated with the People's Committee of Xuan Canh Commune (Song Cau Town) to build and launch two community bookcases in Hoa An and Hoa Phu villages. Along with organizing interesting book introductions, the "Knowledge Bus" also rolled to Dong Hoa Town, bringing the world of knowledge closer to students. These efforts contribute to enriching the spiritual life of students and people.
Ms. Vo Thi Nguyen Hue, Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Library, said: Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day is a meaningful cultural event, continuing the tradition of loving learning and respecting knowledge. The activities of the Provincial Library not only bring an interesting and useful cultural space for book lovers, but also create conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees, teachers, students and people in the province to pay more attention to reading culture, improve knowledge, serve work, study and research.
"In the coming time, the activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day will continue to be organized regularly and continuously by the Provincial Library. In particular, we will focus on promoting extensive propaganda and education in the community, especially the youth, through programs, thematic activities, competitions on books and reading culture, mobile book service activities, book donations and book libraries. The goal is to spread the love of books, improve people's knowledge and build a learning society," Ms. Hue added.
