Honoring 200 photos recreating "Colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups"

Recently, at the Center for Appraisal and Exhibition of Fine Arts and Photography (No. 29 Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) organized the opening of the photo exhibition "Colors of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups".

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized: “Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups living together. The community of Vietnamese ethnic groups was formed and developed along with the historical process of thousands of years of building and defending the country, bringing Vietnam a beautiful, diverse and unified picture, in which the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups is a unique and rare color.

The exhibition introduces to the public 200 works by 87 authors. These are photos selected from thousands of photos by professional and amateur photographers across the country.

The works introduced at the exhibition reflect the typical cultural features of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, from customs, beliefs, lifestyles, especially traditional costumes and festivals.

“Although the number of 200 photos is not really large and rich, they are all vivid, authentic and precious moments that the photographer has preserved through the art of photography with respect and love. Through the collection and introduction of this photo series, we once again affirm the attention of the Party, State and all our people to preserving and promoting the precious cultural values ​​of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups,” Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized.

It is known that before being held in Hanoi , from November 1 to November 10, the exhibition was also held at Dak Lak Museum, Phan Dinh Giot Street, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province. In Hanoi, the exhibition will last until November 24, and will also be held online at the website: http://ape.gov.vn.
