Specifically, at 8:20 p.m. on May 27, Lai Chau Provincial Police organized a raid on the 5th floor of Bao An Hotel (located in Group 12, Doan Ket Ward, Lai Chau City), catching red-handed in room 501 a group of men and women engaging in obscene acts and live-streaming on the social networking application QQlive.
Initially, the authorities identified the participants in the pornography ring as: Giang A P., born in 2007 and Sung Thi M., born in 2010 (pregnant), both residing in Giang Ma commune, Tam Duong district; Ly A K., born in 2007, permanent residence in Ho Pen village, Ta Leng commune, Tam Duong district; Sung Thi LH, born in 2010, permanent residence in Nung Nang commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province.
Five other subjects directed and guided the obscene acts and organized livestreams, including: Chen Jiong (Tran Quynh), born in 1996, Li Jia Wen (Ly Gia Van), born in 2002, Li Tian Wen (Ly Thien Van), born in 1997, all residing in Dien Bai area, Mau Danh city, Guangdong province, China; Huang Zhong Jian (Hoang Trung Kien), born in 1999, residing on Bao Quang street, Cao Chau city, Guangdong province, China (Kien is the interpreter); Le Hoai Bao Chung, born in 1996, residing in Viet Cuong village, Cu Bi commune, Chau Duc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. This group also directed the live streaming of hot scenes on social networking platforms.
At the scene, the police seized many mobile phones, livestreaming kits, masks, dildos, lubricants, face masks, condoms, etc.
The Investigation Police Agency has issued an emergency detention order against Nguyen Huu Van, born in 1994, manager of Bao An Hotel, registered in Cam Doi village, Thuy Van commune, Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province, for the act of "Organizing the dissemination of obscene cultural products".
Initially, the subjects stated: After learning about how to make money by livestreaming pornography on the internet on China's QQlive application, in May 2024, Nguyen Huu Van discussed with Do Xuan Phuong, born in 1994, in Co Bi commune, Binh Giang, Hai Duong and invited Le Hoai Bao Chung to this hotel to cooperate in business.
After that, Van persuaded Tong Thi Pan, born in 2005, residing in It Chom Tren village, Ta Mit commune, Tan Uyen district (Lai Chau) to perform pornographic scenes for live broadcast with a salary of 200,000 VND/hour. Later, because Pan was pregnant, Van assigned her to do makeup, assist in porn, and clean the room.
Next, Van found other subjects including: Sung Thi M. and Giang A P. (these two people are living together as husband and wife) to perform pornographic scenes with an agreed salary of 25 million VND/month; Sung Thi Lan H., Ly A K., with a salary of 400,000 VND/session (2 hours). Van assigned Chung to instruct these people on how to perform pornographic acts and perform sex acts to broadcast live online.
On May 24, 25 and 26, Van and Chung organized livestreams of obscene activities and were paid 1,357,000 VND by the app manager via bank transfer.
On May 27, Chung and Van persuaded four young Chinese men to cooperate in organizing a pornographic livestream with an agreement to split the profits. These four men brought additional livestream equipment and directed and instructed them on how to perform pornographic acts to attract Chinese viewers.
At around 8 p.m. the same day, Chung and four Chinese subjects began live-streaming pornographic acts on a Chinese social networking application when they were raided and caught red-handed by Lai Chau Provincial Police.
Expanding the case, the Investigation Police Agency conducted an emergency search of Thao Duc Thai, born in 2004, residing in Group 23, Dong Phong Ward, Lai Chau City. At Thai's house, there were 4 other male and female subjects staying (including a pregnant subject).
Here, authorities seized many related evidences such as livestreaming tools, condoms, and mobile phones containing a number of obscene and pornographic videos and images.
This group of subjects continued to confess: In May 2005, the subjects organized for 4 male and female subjects to livestream sexual intercourse many times on the QQlive application in Thai's bedroom.
Based on the collected documents and evidence, the Investigation Police Agency of Lai Chau Province Police has decided to temporarily detain 10 suspects. The case is currently being further investigated by the Lai Chau Province Police Special Investigation Team.
