Tom Cruise performs a stunt on the set of "Mission: Impossible" 7 in Norway
Most recently, Tom Cruise shared a behind-the-scenes clip of the extremely dangerous motorcycle crash scene in Norway in the 7th movie. It is known that the scene was filmed in September 2020.
In a behind-the-scenes clip, Tom Cruise admitted that this was one of the most dangerous scenes he had ever done, having to drive a motorcycle down a deep canyon.
Famous for performing his own stunts without a stunt double, the 61-year-old actor exclaimed this time: "What am I doing? This is a terrible idea."
However, Tom Cruise still completed the stunt to the amazement of the entire crew. "Why are we doing this?". In response to director Christopher McQuarrie's question, Tom Cruise said: "Because that's the mission of Mission Impossible."
To prepare for the scene, Tom Cruise had to rehearse 13,000 flying motorcycle scenes and 500 skydivings before officially filming. "I put a lot of effort into the scene for many years. I wanted to do this since I was a kid," the actor said.
In "Mission: Impossible – Dead reckoning part one", Tom Cruise continuously entertains the audience with dangerous scenes.
Director Christopher McQuarrie once revealed that the scene where Tom Cruise skydives is the most dangerous scene in the film. Norway is the location the film crew chose to perform the stunt. Before the filming day, the crew spent more than a month preparing and practicing in England.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the actor just completed part 1 of "Miss: Impossible - Dead Reckoning" with a budget of about 270 million USD in May 2022.
This is not the first time Tom Cruise has performed breathtaking stunts. He climbed the Burj Khalifa building in Dubai in "Mission Impossible" 4, clung to the side of a plane as it took off in "Mission Impossible 5" and flew a plane in "American Made".
In 2018, while filming "Mission Impossible - Fallout", the actor injured his leg while jumping between two buildings.
