Singer Thanh Lam went to receive the title of People's Artist with her mother. Sharing with reporters, she said that her mother was the one who prepared the application for her title. She said that artists do not have the responsibility to maintain their image when they have the title, but from the very beginning of their career, artists must cultivate their skills.

Thanh Lam was awarded the title of People's Artist after failing once because her application did not meet the requirements. In 2018, her mother, artist Thanh Huong, applied for her daughter, but at that time, Thanh Lam did not receive enough votes from the Ministerial Council and lacked a medal.
