Regarding the cargo terminal, the cargo terminal is planned with a capacity of about 100,000 tons/year located to the west of the existing T1 passenger terminal, with the ability to expand to meet the capacity of about 250,000 tons/year. The area is about 2.35 hectares.
Vision to 2050, expand the passenger terminal, increase the total capacity to about 18 million passengers/year. Plan the cargo terminal in the southern area of the port for exploitation needs until 2050, reserve for development needs to meet the capacity of up to 500,000 tons/year. Area about 8 hectares.
Regarding the runway system in the 2021-2030 period, the existing runway will be maintained with dimensions of 3,050 m x 45 m, and a 7.5 m wide material shoulder.
Vision to 2050 will plan runway number 2 about 215 m south of the existing runway centerline, about 2,400 m long, with material curb size according to regulations.
Regarding the taxiway system, in the 2021-2030 period, a parallel taxiway is planned between the existing runway and the aircraft parking lot, about 200 m north of the existing runway centerline, about 3,050 m long, with material curb size according to regulations; 2 quick exit taxiways and 3 taxiways connecting the existing runway to the parallel taxiway are planned.
Vision to 2050, the parallel taxiway is planned about 180 m south of the center of runway 2, about 2,400 m long, with material curb size according to regulations. At the same time, the plan adds a taxiway system connecting the two runways and from runway 2 to the new parallel taxiway.
Regarding the aircraft parking lot, expand the existing parking lot to accommodate about 30 aircraft parking positions in the 2021-2030 period. Vision to 2050 is to expand the parking lot to accommodate about 40 aircraft parking positions; reserve for expansion when needed...
