Bui Khanh Linh: "There is no way I was favored when I entered the final round of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023"

After 2 seasons of Miss World Vietnam, Bui Khanh Linh still could not touch the prestigious crown at this contest. What do you think is making you lose, not being able to be in the Top 3 of Miss World Vietnam this year?

- After 2 seasons of Miss World Vietnam, I still haven't had the chance to touch the crown, maybe because I'm not lucky or I'm not suitable for the contest's criteria. Only when I experience or go through it myself, will I know if what I'm doing is right or not suitable.

The issue of losing or not, in my opinion, when all the contestants entered the final round, they tried very hard and wanted to achieve the title. Each person has their own beauty and strength, so the result is a journey of crystallization.

Some people speculate that the reason Bui Khanh Linh returned to Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 after only 4 days of the Miss World Vietnam 2023 contest was because of the "gentle instruction" that she would wait for her friend from Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Miss Grand Vietnam, and also Head of the Miss World Vietnam 2023 Jury?

- Ms. Dung wanted me to participate in Miss Grand Vietnam, but that is a story for 2022. In 2023, I decided to participate when I just finished Miss World Vietnam 2023. Although I only had a few days to prepare for a new journey, I was always ready to participate in the contest with the highest spirit, always ready for every challenge in the contest.

Will Top 5 Miss World Vietnam 2023 Bui Khanh Linh receive any special favor from the Organizing Committee of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023?

- When I entered the journey to conquer the crown of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, I was a contestant and felt that everyone was the same. We all had to practice, participate in activities and perform equally, there was no favoritism for old or new contestants, familiar or unfamiliar.

Before participating in the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 contest, Bui Khanh Linh was the Ao Dai beauty queen of the "King and Queen" contest at the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture in 2020; Ao Dai beauty queen of the elegant student contest at Phuong Son High School, Bac Giang. In two consecutive years 2022 and 2023, Bui Khanh Linh entered the Top 10 and Top 5 of the Miss World Vietnam contest, respectively.

Currently, the beauty from Bac Giang is a student majoring in Advanced Agricultural Business Administration at the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture. In the 2020-2021 school year, she was an excellent student with a GPA of 3.63/4.

It is inevitable that there will be opinions that Bui Khanh Linh's participation in Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 is a "hasty decision", "an old face greedy for titles"... What do you say about these opinions?

- I always believe that each person only lives once in this life, so I always cherish every moment, always strive and try, and dedicate myself completely so that when I look back later, I won't have any regrets.

When I was young, I thought I had the opportunity to participate and experience to discover the angles around me, in many different fields to position myself.

Having competed in Miss World Vietnam twice in 3 consecutive years and continuing to compete in Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, does Bui Khanh Linh currently have to "tighten her belt" or borrow money to cover expenses during the Miss contest?

- Many people wonder if participating in a beauty pageant costs money? The answer is: Yes. But I was lucky enough to meet many designers and brands who offered to help me, so I didn't have to pay for my costume.

In addition, I also take photos, film, and act as a guest... so I also have a small amount to do charity work. But my main income comes from selling agricultural products for the research institute at my school, which covers expenses, charity work, and beauty pageants.

Does beauty Bui Khanh Linh think that participating in Miss Universe pageants can "change her life"?

- I think so. From a normal student, after competing in the Miss pageant, she got a lot of attention, more followers and more fans.

Life will no longer be the same as before, it has changed. When you compete in a beauty pageant and become a beauty queen, you will definitely change to a new life because you are representing a pageant, representing brands... But more than anything, beauty queen is just a title, your life is chosen and followed by you.

Bui Khanh Linh's parents are from the countryside of Bac Giang and work in agriculture. What did they say when their daughter continued to compete in Miss Grand Vietnam 2023?

- My parents have always supported and accompanied me on every journey I have participated in. However, when I quickly decided to participate in Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, my parents were a bit worried, but they encouraged me to try and calmly walk.

Bui Khanh Linh entered the final round of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023: "I want to win the highest position"

It is known that the Miss Grand International Organizing Committee announced: "The 3B criteria is not enough. The contest's President has proposed a new criterion of 4B including: Beauty, Body, Brain and Business. Is Bui Khanh Linh confident that she is more suitable for these "difficult" criteria than when Miss Thuy Tien was crowned?

- The fourth criterion is Business, which I find most suitable for me. As you can see, my major is Business, and I am currently trading agricultural products.

In the recent Miss World Vietnam 2023 contest, after filming a charity project, I stood up to call for "Selling succulents to raise charity funds", which is a form of business to call for kind hearts to help 2 sick children in difficulty.

So, of the 4 criteria given by Miss Grand International, I think I meet all 4 criteria to represent Vietnam in this beauty contest.

What goals and rankings does Bui Khanh Linh set for herself at Miss Grand Vietnam 2023?

- When I came to the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 contest with determination and self-change, my goal was to win the prestigious crown and represent Vietnam to participate in Miss Grand International 2023 held in Vietnam this year.

Suppose, if unfortunately not in the Top 3 Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 , will Bui Khanh Linh continue to compete in the Miss pageant?

- When I decided to participate in Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, I wanted to win the highest position. If unfortunately I do not achieve it, this will be the last contest I participate in because I think I am not destined for beauty contests. I will return to my studies and who knows, in the future I will see a businessman named Bui Khanh Linh with projects on green agriculture and sustainable agriculture.
