VFC has just held a press conference to launch the film Father's Gift, which will be broadcast at 9:40 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on VTV3 from mid-July 2023. The film brings together a famous cast: People's Artist Minh Hoa, Meritorious Artist Vo Hoai Nam, MC Tuan Tu, Huong Giang, Ngoc Huyen...

The film revolves around the life of Mr. Nhan's family (Meritorious Artist Vo Hoai Nam). Having lost his wife a long time ago, Mr. Nhan is the pillar, the support, the shelter, and also the place where problems arise in the not-so-fair treatment of his children.

Tuan Tu plays the eldest brother in a family of 3 children, always favored by his father.

The film offers a realistic perspective, not only exploring the generational issue between father and son, but also frankly analyzing the relationship between siblings in the family, when children grow up with unequal attention.

In the film, MC Tuan Tu plays Nghia, Mr. Nhan's eldest son. On the surface, he has a happy, peaceful life with Quyen (Huong Giang) in the city, but it turns out that everything is not as expected. With the inferiority complex of "a dog hiding under the cupboard", not being able to earn as much money as his wife, always dependent and subject to excessive scrutiny by his mother-in-law (NSND Minh Hoa), Nghia tries hard to get rich, but because of his impatience, he makes mistakes, causing many difficulties for his father and siblings.

In the movie, Tuan Tu plays the role of Huong Giang's husband.

Previously, he also played the role of Duy Anh, who was somewhat incompetent, weak, and dependent on his wife in the movie " Are You a Man? " So when he continued to play the role of "a dog hiding under the cupboard", Tuan Tu received a lot of attention from the audience.

Sharing at the press conference, the humorous MC said that he himself did not know why directors like to choose him for this type of role. However, Tuan Tu affirmed that he did not want to be "nailed" in the role of "a dog hiding under the cupboard".

The male MC humorously shared: "This role has progressed, not to the extent of being "under the table" like before. Honestly, I don't want to be stuck in any type of role. Actually, I can play the role of "a dog hiding under the cupboard" well, but I don't want to be stuck in this type of role.

That's why director Vu Minh Tri let me "rise" a lot, better than the previous film. This is a role standing in the middle of the water, very "bloody" about business and having achievements but also failures".

Tuan Tu also revealed that Nghia in Father's Gift will be a completely new character image compared to his previous roles:

"That means the most mysterious character in this film. Through this role, the audience will see Tu in a different light. This will be a very new role in terms of character psychology, fate and Tu's acting will be completely different from previous films."
