TPO - The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 through Binh Duong province has a total investment of more than 12,000 billion VND, of which the State capital is more than 4,000 billion VND, the rest is mobilized.

The total investment for upgrading National Highway 13 is 12,463,575 billion VND, of which the State's capital participation is 4,091 billion 575 million VND, accounting for 33% of the total investment, and investor and mobilized capital is 8,372 billion VND, accounting for 67% of the total investment.

According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the renovation and expansion of National Highway 13 will continue to create a "technical framework" for the socio-economic development of Binh Duong province to meet two major goals: relieving traffic pressure on the route, preparing for a long-term urban development plan by raising floors and shaping the main traffic axis.

National Highway 13, section through Thuan An city (Binh Duong), is being expanded from 6 lanes to 8 lanes.

With the investment in upgrading the main road, Binh Duong hopes to continue attracting investment for the new development phase, contributing to building Binh Duong into a civilized and modern urban area, one of the developed urban areas of the Southern key economic region, with great influence and strong impact on neighboring provinces and surrounding areas.

Invest in overpasses across the intersections of Binh Hoa - Huu Nghi with a scale of 4 lanes, other intersections are being studied for expansion to increase traffic capacity. Invest in a drainage system along the road combined with lighting on both sides of the road, from Ben Cat to Bau Bang (Tham Rot bridge).

National Highway 13 through Binh Duong province has been upgraded and expanded to 2 lanes in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Phuoc.

Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee adjusted the construction implementation time from 2024 to 2026.
