Overview of the industrial park in Lao Cai about to be relocated to serve the high-speed railway project

Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park in Lao Cai city will have to be relocated to serve the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project. The total investment of the project is expected to be VND203,231 billion, starting at the end of 2025.

To serve the site clearance of the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project, the Department of Construction has coordinated with relevant departments, branches, and localities to review, survey, and plan to arrange 20 resettlement sites. Of these, 13 residential areas have been built, are eligible for arrangement, or have approved detailed plans; propose to build 7 new planned residential areas, and at the same time combine on-site resettlement plans for small households (or residential clusters). The resettlement plan is calculated to suit each locality, ensuring that people can soon stabilize their lives and develop the economy.
