According to WAM news agency, the lighting of the Russian flag in Dubai on the evening of March 23 shows the UAE's clear opposition to all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to cause instability and are inconsistent with international law.
This initiative is also evidence that the UAE leaders and people support Russia and its people in the fight against terrorism.
On March 22, a terrorist attack occurred at the Crocus City Hall complex, located in Krasnogorsk, a city in the Moscow Region. The complex includes a theater, shopping mall, exhibition center, children's entertainment center, and wedding venue.
TASS said they witnessed at least three suspects, three men in camouflage, breaking into the concert hall area, shooting at people at close range and throwing petrol bombs. Russian security forces later successfully arrested the three suspects as they ran near the Ukrainian border on the afternoon of March 23 (local time).
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, preliminary data shows that "a door was prepared" from Ukraine for the group to cross the border. However, Ukraine has firmly denied any connection with the terrorist attack.
