From 1960 to 1975, the Liberation News Agency received more than 450 cadres and reporters from the Vietnam News Agency, working side by side with the armed forces, continuously broadcasting urgent news, boosting the will of compatriots and soldiers both in the rear and on the front lines.

“To have that historic spring, nearly 260 cadres, reporters and technicians of VNA sacrificed their lives or were injured. Those losses will forever be engraved in the glorious history of the industry,” shared journalist Vu Viet Trang.

Entering the period of innovation and integration, inheriting the glorious tradition, generations of VNA continue to take the lead in hot spots and important events of the country and the world , with the spirit of innovation, creativity, and strong application of technology, creating modern, high-quality press products, honored with major awards. With more than 1,000 reporters, editors, and technicians working comprehensively on all platforms, VNA is providing more than 60 diverse information products, actively contributing to the development of the country's press.

The meeting and discussion program “Continuing the epic” consists of two parts. The first part is the stories of the war reporters themselves about the difficult, sacrificial but very proud years of revolutionary news workers during the resistance war against the US, also to commemorate the martyrs who fell for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

In the second part, delegates shared about the period of national reunification and entering a new phase of national construction and protection, fulfilling the international duty of “helping friends is helping yourself” in Laos and Cambodia. Delegates also shared stories about the silent sacrifices and enthusiasm of news reporters in challenging circumstances such as the Covid-19 pandemic, Typhoon Yagi, etc.
