Seminar on solutions to improve the quality of online public administrative services towards digital government in the province

On September 22, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a seminar on solutions to improve the quality of online public administrative services towards digital government in the province. Comrades: Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Chien, Director of the Institute of Leadership and Public Policy, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics chaired the seminar.

At the seminar, delegates listened to MSc. Do Thanh Huyen, UNDP Policy Analyst, report on the results of the 2022 Ninh Thuan Province Public Administration and Governance Performance Index; listened to Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Chien report on the results of the quick assessment by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics delegation on the current status of online public services (DVCTT) implementation in the province; Listen to the leaders of the Department of Justice, Provincial Police, Viettel Ninh Thuan, Department of Information and Communications (TT&TT), Department of Home Affairs present the papers: "Current situation of granting marriage status certificates to citizens in the province", "Current situation of temporary residence and temporary absence registration procedures for citizens in 2022 and 6 months of 2023 in the province", "Mobile and internet coverage in telecommunications signal depression areas", "Overview assessment of the current situation of providing public services in the province to people", "Results of the Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) in 2022".

On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received the assessments, analyzed the current situation and proposed solutions to improve the quality of public services in the province raised by Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Chien and members of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics delegation. He hoped that the delegation would continue to have suggestions and recommendations for central ministries, branches and non-governmental organizations to continue to provide support and guidance so that Ninh Thuan province can make faster, more effective and clearer progress in digital transformation, especially raising people's awareness and improving the quality of public services.

For departments, branches and localities, he suggested focusing on performing well the tasks related to improving the quality of public service provision for people and businesses. Assign the Department of Information and Communications to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee Office to upgrade the provincial public service portal to be increasingly complete, meeting the access needs of people and businesses; concretize the results of the discussion, advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct the implementation of solutions to improve the quality of public service; assign the Provincial People's Committee Office to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications, departments, branches and localities to review and advise on cutting administrative procedures without generating records, have solutions to improve the quality of public service, and bring all public service partly to the full public service.
