Supervisory Team No. 2, Provincial People's Council supervises the topic of domestic water in Tua Chua district

Dien Bien TV - On the afternoon of April 14, the Supervisory Team No. 2 of the Provincial People's Council on "Implementation of policies and laws on investment, management, and domestic water supply in Dien Bien province in the period of 2021-2024", led by Comrade Mua Thanh Son, Head of the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council, also inspected a number of domestic water supply works in Tua Chua district.

The monitoring team conducted a field survey of the central domestic water project of Muong Dun commune and neighboring villages.

Field inspection of rural water supply projects in Dun village, Muong Dun commune and Noong Hung village, Muong Bang commune. Since their operation, the two projects have basically ensured clean water supply for the people, especially during the dry season. However, due to harsh terrain and weather conditions, some areas still suffer from local water shortages.

The delegation inspected the construction of the supplementary water supply system of Tua Chua District Water Plant; the project has a total investment of 14.5 billion VND, serving the essential needs of more than 1,650 households, with about 8,500 people in the area when expanding the administrative boundaries of Tua Chua town.

After the on-site inspection, the Working Group basically grasped the water supply situation for the people; the difficulties and obstacles in implementing and operating the project. The Group requested the People's Committees of communes and towns in Tua Chua district to continue to strengthen management; pay attention to investing in and expanding the water supply system and propagating to the people to use water economically and effectively./.
