Provincial People's Council delegation works with Huong Hoa district

This morning, June 25, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council candidates in Huong Hoa district had a working session with the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Huong Hoa district to listen to the recommendations and proposals of the locality to participate in the contents serving the 25th session of the Provincial People's Council. At the meeting, delegates listened to the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Huong Hoa district give specific opinions on the Report on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in the first 6 months of 2024 and tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2024; reports, projects, submissions and draft resolutions submitted by the Provincial People's Committee at the 25th session of the Provincial People's Council.

Regarding Resolution No. 161/2021/NQ-HDND dated December 9, 2021 of the Provincial People's Council regulating the level of support and budget allocation for agricultural extension and veterinary work in Quang Tri province, Huong Hoa district proposed that there should be specific guidance documents so that localities have a basis to recruit veterinary staff that are still lacking in communes and towns.

Currently, the implementation of the goal of building a new rural area in the period of 2021 - 2025 is facing difficulties due to the huge demand for capital to invest in completing infrastructure, while the ability to mobilize socialized capital is not much, leading to many communes, especially communes on the roadmap to build communes meeting the standards of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas, not being able to complete the criteria. Therefore, Huong Hoa district proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider and propose that the Provincial Party Committee adjust the goal of building new rural areas in the period of 2021 - 2025 and the Provincial People's Council consider having a special mechanism to focus on investing more resources to support 1 commune in Huong Hoa district to meet the standards of new rural areas.

In addition, representatives of local agencies and departments also discussed and proposed to clarify the policy mechanism to support localities in implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas; implementing Project 197/DA-UBND-UBMT dated October 6, 2022 of the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province; managing spontaneous migrants and unregistered marriages in the Vietnam - Laos border area; proposing to supplement and build new Huong Linh and Huong Tan routes to serve the travel needs of people...

Sharing the difficulties that Huong Hoa district is facing in the process of implementing national target programs, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee Ly Kieu Van suggested that the locality should continue to pay attention and focus on leading the grassroots to make efforts to complete the criteria well without needing resources in building new rural areas.

For the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, it is necessary to propose practical solutions to help poor and near-poor households and people in areas with special economic and social difficulties to develop production, create jobs, and support the elimination of temporary housing.

Research on development plans, expand the scale of schools and classes in remote areas to create conditions for students to go to school; solve the difficulties of the education sector regarding the teaching staff. Regarding the recommendations of the District People's Committee on other issues, the Provincial People's Council Delegation will receive, research and make recommendations in the meetings so that the competent authorities can promptly resolve them, ensuring the rights of the people.

Concluding the meeting, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the People's Council Delegation in Huong Hoa district Nguyen Dang Anh said that he would synthesize the opinions and recommendations of the leaders and specialized departments of Huong Hoa district to supplement the report on the district's comments on the contents serving the 25th session of the Provincial People's Council.

At the same time, it is requested that delegates with questions and the content of the interpellation be sent to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council for classification and forwarding to the relevant agencies to prepare responses to the interpellation at the 25th session of the Provincial People's Council. In the coming time, the Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the People's Council Delegation in Huong Hoa district hopes that the locality will continue to receive the attention and support of the locality so that the Delegation Delegation can fulfill its tasks well.
