Provincial People's Council delegation meets voters of Bim Son town

On the morning of June 5, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, including delegates: Nguyen Tien Hieu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks; Nguyen Van Khien, Secretary of the Bim Son Town Party Committee, Head of the delegation; Pham Kim Tan, General Secretary of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thanh Hoa, Director of the Thanh Hoa Technical Innovation Support Fund; Trinh Tuan Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bim Son Town, had a meeting with voters of Bim Son Town before the 20th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

Representatives of the delegation informed voters about the socio-economic, defense and security situation of the province in the first 5 months of the year, and reported the results of handling voters' petitions sent to the sessions of the Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, the representative of the Provincial People's Council Delegation informed voters of the expected content and program of the 20th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council; reported on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security of the province in the first 5 months of the year, solutions to implement key tasks in the last months of 2024; reported on the results of handling voters' petitions sent to the sessions of the Provincial People's Council.

In a democratic and open atmosphere, the voters of Bim Son town proposed a number of contents: The residential area to the north from the water pumping station to the railway to Bim Son Cement Factory was planned as a residential area since the 1980s. In 2005, the State had a project to plan a green campus and had extended it many times but it was still not implemented, so the households here have not been granted residential land or have had difficulties in changing the land use purpose. Therefore, the voters requested to know clearly the progress of the project; proposed to direct the road management unit to dredge the drainage ditches on both sides of National Highway 1A to avoid congestion and ensure drainage during the rainy and stormy season...

Voters also expressed their opinions on the need for solutions to speed up the construction of the road project from Bim Son Industrial Park to the coastal road section from Nga Son to Hoang Hoa; this project is currently behind schedule; Residential areas B, C, Quarter 5, Dong Son Ward are now seriously degraded, not ensuring the livelihood of the people, and many social evils have occurred, so it is recommended that the government and relevant agencies have timely solutions to ensure the safety of households living in the area.

Voters of Bim Son town also requested the province to urge contractors to speed up the progress of the project to build a waste treatment plant to soon resolve the overload and environmental pollution at Nui Voi Landfill; propose to resolve the issuance of land use right certificates for households who buy liquidated houses from the Military Command of Bim Son town; request the People's Council to consult with the Provincial People's Committee to recommend the Ministry of Transport to soon have a plan to hand over land in areas affecting Bim Son station; request the Provincial People's Council to consider policies and projects on funding to support cadres of mass organizations and special associations operating in neighborhoods, villages, and hamlets; request the province to provide guidance or submit to superiors to issue guidelines for the implementation of Decree 33/2023/ND-CP regulating the work of cadres, civil servants at the commune level and non-professional workers at the commune level, in villages, and residential groups...

On behalf of the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, Comrade Nguyen Tien Hieu, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones, respectfully thanked the enthusiastic and frank opinions of voters and people of Bim Son town. He provided more detailed information on some of the outstanding achievements in the management of socio-economic development of the province; on the situation of attracting investment in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Bim Son Industrial Zone and the investment progress of some important investment projects; at the same time, explained and clarified some issues of concern to voters. For proposals and recommendations beyond the authority, the delegation fully accepted them to synthesize and submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and resolution.
