On the afternoon of May 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to discuss and give comments on the draft contents and coordination work to organize the provincial tourism week and exhibition fair, promote investment, trade and tourism in the city to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the town's liberation (June 30, 1954 - June 30, 2024), 20 years of construction and development of Thai Binh city (June 30, 2004 - June 30, 2024).

The provincial tourism week is jointly implemented by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the City People's Committee and the Provincial Tourism Association, and is expected to take place in June 2024 with the opening location at Ky Ba Park (Thai Binh City). Activities taking place during the tourism week include: opening program; exhibition of beautiful tourism photos, introduction of spaces, tours, and routes of travel companies; hot air balloon performances for visitors to visit and take photos; water puppetry performances; folk performances; opening of tourist attractions; tour to experience Nam Cao silk village - a national intangible cultural heritage; free tourism programs to visit, experience, and educate students about traditions at tourist areas and spots within the province...

Through the activities of the tourism week, we aim to continue promoting and introducing the province's tourism potential; attracting people and domestic and foreign tourists to continue to come to Thai Binh in the 2024 tourist season. Thereby, promoting socialization, mobilizing the active participation of businesses, organizations and individuals in tourism activities, creating a movement and investment resources for tourism, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
