Organizing Tet for soldiers to ensure joy, health, safety, economy and high combat readiness

On the afternoon of January 22, General Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Standing member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and the delegation of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army inspected combat readiness; visited and wished a happy New Year to officers and soldiers of Division 316, Military Region 2.

After listening to the Commander of Division 316 report on the results of military and defense tasks and Party building in 2023, on behalf of the Party leadership, the Central Military Commission Standing Committee, the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics, General Luong Cuong acknowledged and warmly commended the results and achievements of Division 316 in 2023.

Emphasizing that 2024 is an important year for completing the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, preparing for Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; a year of many important events for the country and the Army, especially the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, the Chief of the General Department of Politics requested Party committees, political commissars, political officers, commanders at all levels and officers and soldiers of the entire Division to continue to thoroughly grasp and successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the Central Military Commission and Party committees at all levels on leading the tasks in 2024.

Focus on improving the overall quality and combat strength of the Division; strictly maintain discipline and combat readiness regime. Proactively grasp the situation, handle it flexibly and sensitively, and avoid surprises in any situation. Closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and forces stationed in the area to maintain security and order in the stationed area.

General Luong Cuong noted that Party committees, political commissars, political officers, and commanders at all levels in the Division need to focus on doing a good job of resolving policies for demobilized soldiers and preparing to welcome young people to join the army in 2024 strictly and in accordance with regulations. Strengthen the thorough, thorough understanding and serious and effective implementation of the Directives, Regulations, and Guidelines of the Central Committee, the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff, and the General Department of Politics on combat readiness and organizing the Giap Thin Lunar New Year, so that all officers and soldiers have a deep understanding, identify their responsibilities well, and build determination to complete all assigned tasks. Supplement and complete the Combat Readiness Plan, operational plan, organize training, and be ready to handle situations that arise.

Focus on preparing carefully and organizing Tet for the troops to ensure joy, health, safety, economy and high combat readiness. Pay attention to ensuring good Tet regimes and standards for the troops, implementing well the Army's rear policy and "Repaying gratitude" activities.
