Activities before the Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony include lion and dragon dances, demonstrations of wrapping banh chung, pounding banh giay, writing calligraphy, gong cultural performances, and street music from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 9, At Ty year. The Tien Ceremony usually takes place from 4:00 p.m. on March 9, At Ty year, with a ritual of worshiping the gods.
The ceremony of offering incense, flowers and gifts to the Hung Kings from 7am on March 10th, At Ty year will include lion and dragon dances, gong performances, drum and gong beating, reading of congratulatory messages, incense offering, flower and gift offering rituals and speeches of remembrance and reporting achievements.

According to the organizers, the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day is held annually on the 10th day of the third lunar month to honor national cultural values; affirm the position and great significance of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day as a national holiday,and educate the tradition and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source".
