During the 2 days (April 22-23), 60 students from grades 4 and 5 who are ethnic minorities in the 3 districts of Dong Xuan, Son Hoa and Song Hinh participating in this contest will visit and experience the following relics: Le Thanh Phuong Temple, Go Thi Thung Tunnel, An Tho Citadel - the birthplace of comrade Tran Phu, the first General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Ganh Da Dia scenic spot. Thereby, the students will write a paragraph expressing their feelings at the places they visited. Before the end of the contest, the students will have a cultural exchange with students of An Ninh Tay Primary School (Tuy An district).
The contest helps ethnic minority students expand their Vietnamese vocabulary and gain more information about the history, traditions, and culture of their homeland. The contest aims at comprehensive development for students, contributing to fostering love for the homeland, gratitude, and national pride for the young generation of the country. This is also a practical activity within the series of programs implementing the Project to enhance Vietnamese for preschool children and students in ethnic minority areas.
