Accordingly, the workshop with the theme: "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 with the new era of development of the Vietnamese nation" was chaired by the Ministry of National Defense, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Public Security , the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The workshop aimed to affirm and clarify that the Great Victory of Spring 1975 was a victory of the will to unify the country and the aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people; a victory of the Vietnamese spirit and intelligence and the strength of great national unity associated with the strength of the times in the resistance war against the US to save the country; at the same time, affirming the correct and wise guidelines, policies and leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh - the decisive factor for all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.

In addition, the Workshop also provided new documents, profound scientific arguments and foundations, clarifying the preparation process, the course of the campaign, the role and coordination of the forces participating in the campaign; highlighting the brave, resilient, resourceful and creative fighting spirit of the people and armed forces of the whole country, directly the army and people of the South; deepening the unique military art in the resistance war against the US to save the country; drawing valuable lessons, applying and promoting them in the current cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The workshop is expected to be held on April 20 in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the press conference, Colonel Le Thanh Bai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Institute of Defense Strategy and History - Standing Agency of the Workshop Steering Committee, said that the Institute has closely coordinated with the host agencies, conducted surveys, developed plans, coordinated, and carefully and closely implemented all preparation work according to the plan with good quality. Based on the theme of the Workshop, the Institute developed the theme and the system of papers with a total of 125 papers. According to the assessment of the Standing Agency of the Workshop Steering Committee, the papers were carefully and seriously researched, closely following the content of the theme, ensuring good quality.
