On August 4, the Gia Vien District Women's Union organized a forum on "Safe migration, preventing human trafficking" in Gia Hoa commune.
Guests attending the forum included representatives from: District Police, District Women's Union, District Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, local authorities, people working far away returning to their hometowns...
At the forum, invited delegates and cadres and women's union members of Gia Hoa commune exchanged and informed about issues related to the current situation, victims, subjects, tricks, and consequences of human trafficking; solutions to prevent and combat human trafficking, such as: Prevention and avoidance skills; activities to protect and support victims; prevention and handling of violations and difficulties in State management of human trafficking prevention and combat.
The forum was organized to contribute to raising awareness, responsibility and action of women in particular and the whole society in general on preventing and combating human trafficking, thereby affirming the commitment of the Women's Union at all levels to prevent human trafficking. From this forum, the staff and members of the Women's Union of Gia Hoa commune will become propagandists to impart knowledge on safe migration and prevention of human trafficking; mobilize people to actively denounce crimes related to illegal migration and human trafficking.
