Organizing activities in response to the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in 2025

Improve community disaster response skills, contributing to reducing risks caused by natural disasters.

The Prime Minister decided to take the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control from May 15 to 22 every year. Organizing activities in response to the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control aims to raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities at all levels and people of all walks of life in natural disaster prevention and control, and to carry out the task of building a safe society against natural disasters for sustainable development. To raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities at all levels and people of all walks of life in natural disaster prevention and control, contributing to building a safe society against natural disasters; improve the community's capacity for natural disaster prevention and control for all people; and encourage the spirit of people, officers and soldiers in natural disaster prevention and control, the province issued a plan for implementation in the province, with the theme "Sustainable community, disaster resilience", to be implemented in May 2025.

The implementation content includes: organizing response activities suitable to local conditions and situations such as: conferences, seminars; hanging billboards and banners with messages responding to the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control; Promoting propaganda and widely disseminating on mass media about the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in 2025, activities in the field of natural disaster prevention and control with practical and appropriate content to disseminate knowledge about natural disasters and improve skills and experience in responding to natural disasters for the community.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is the standing agency for natural disaster prevention and control of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, proactively deploying and urging the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on responding to the National Week of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in 2025. Coordinate with the People's Committees of districts and cities to implement activities to respond to and propagate natural disaster prevention and control; deploy hanging banners, slogans, billboards..., launching the content of responding to the National Week of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of agencies, units, and localities. Direct specialized agencies to carry out natural disaster prevention and control work as the focal point for providing propaganda documents on natural disaster prevention and control to agencies, units, and localities in the province.

Departments, branches, sectors, armed forces, and socio-political organizations of the province shall hang banners, billboards, and flags at their headquarters until the end of May 2025. Proactively deploy and carry out activities and contents suitable to the conditions of the agency and unit. Promote information on the website and electronic information portal of the agency and unit about the purpose, meaning, and theme of the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and carry out propaganda activities to raise responsibility for natural disaster prevention and control related to the specialized management field. The People's Committees at district and city levels shall direct the organization of response activities suitable to the conditions and actual situation in the locality. Direct the People's Committees of communes, wards, and towns to carry out activities in response to the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in 2025 in the assigned management areas.

Press agencies coordinate with relevant units to select appropriate content to inform and propagate in response to the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in 2025; activities of the National Week, the traditional day of natural disaster prevention and control in Vietnam (May 22) implemented by central and local agencies to create an effective communication campaign.
