From 7:30 a.m. on September 30, all members of 8 teams including TNG, ANT, LSM, OFV, TNM, K14, GZV and GNY were present at the Thanh Nien Newspaper office (address 268-270 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) and ready for the confrontations in the game Lien Quan Mobile.

Nguyen Duc Tuan Anh - TNM team captain said that before entering the tournament, everyone's mentality was quite comfortable. "Since we got information about the tournament, we gathered our colleagues to practice together. At first, there weren't enough teams so it was very difficult, after 1 to 2 weeks, we recruited enough members and even had extra people so we chose the members with the best skills to compete. Currently, our team is quite confident to advance to the championship, 5 phones will definitely belong to our team, the teams should think about the remaining tournaments".
At exactly 8 o'clock, the amateur players representing the press, media and partners of Thanh Nien Newspaper entered the tense BO2 series in the group stage. With each win equivalent to a point closer to the ticket to the next round, every decision made has a direct impact on the chance of advancing. After the first series of the group stage with the round-robin format, the first promising candidates gradually emerged.
The determination of OFV team members
The overall level of the teams is quite even, but the representative of the Organizing Committee assessed that there are 3 strong teams including OFV (representing the Vietnamese Oppo Fan Community), GNY (representing The Gioi Di Dong) and ANT (representing CellphoneS). However, only 2 of these teams advanced after the group stage.
In the first 4 matches, OFV easily defeated their opponents with absolute scores. However, the team suffered a 0-2 defeat against GNY (representing The Gioi Di Dong) and was forced to consider the secondary index (taking the number of kills) with this team because they had the same winning score of 4. As a result, GNY passed through the "narrow door" with only one more kill, sending OFV home with regret for the entire hall watching.
The players are highly focused to win every point in the group stage.
The teams that could not advance past the group stage include OFV, K14 (representing Kenh14.vn), GZV (representing Minh Tuan Mobile) and LSM (representing Locksmith).
GNY continued their excitement when they defeated TNG (representative 1 of Thanh Nien Newspaper) in the semi-finals after only 2 matches of the BO3 series, advancing straight to the finals. In the remaining bracket, a surprise happened when team TNM (representative 2 of Thanh Nien Newspaper) ended the match with ANT early with a score of 2 - 0.

Before the tournament started, Bui Nhat Truong - captain of ANT confided: "Our whole team set the goal of participating in this game as the championship. However, the other teams are also very strong, so hopefully with the careful preparations in the past time, we will try to achieve the best possible results."

Although the championship goal could not come true in the first Lien Quan Mobile Thanh Nien Newspaper Open Tournament, Truong and his teammates still managed to make their name with the 3rd place overall.

In the final match between TNM and GNY, TNM team had an impressive start when they won game 1 of the match, proving that they got to their current position not by luck but by the strength and solidarity of all positions in the team.
GNY finished 2nd overall
However, GNY is not a "rookie" when they immediately brought the match back to the starting line and the championship had to wait until the decisive match of the BO3 series.

The efforts of GNY members were not enough to make the team the champion as they once again fell to TNM in a match where they were overwhelmed in terms of towers and kills.
With a 2-1 overall victory, TNM became the first champion of the Lien Quan Mobile Thanh Nien Newspaper Open Tournament and affirmed its readiness to defend the throne in upcoming tournaments in the future.
