In 2024, due to complicated weather conditions, TKV's natural disaster prevention and search and rescue work will face many challenges. Typical examples include the impact of widespread rain in June and the historic storm No. 3 in September. Storm No. 3 alone caused about VND 1,000 billion in damage to the Group's units, many of which had to temporarily suspend production for 3 to 5 days.

With the attention and direction of the Central Government, especially promoting the spirit of "Discipline - Unity" of the Group's workers and officials, the work of overcoming the consequences of storms and floods was deployed at lightning speed, quickly stabilizing operations, ensuring production and business targets in 2024.

The conference was held in a combination of in-person and online sessions.

Based on the weather forecast for 2025, TKV has determined to continue implementing natural disaster prevention and search and rescue work according to the motto of 3 before - 4 on-site. The focus is on developing plans and scenarios for natural disaster response, organizing drills of hypothetical situations; identifying key and vulnerable locations to strengthen inspection and consolidation. Strengthening coordination with local authorities in natural disaster prevention and search and rescue. At the same time, developing specific plans and tasks for each production block such as underground mines, open-pit mines, warehouse and port management units, screening, lakes, and dams.
